The Irishman follows Frank Sheeran (De Niro) as he reminisces about his long relationship with the Bufalino criminal family and famed labor leader Jimmy Hoffa (Pacino).

Casino Royale (2006)

Gyllenhaal has an amazing performance as a skeleton, amoral character, while Rene Russo gives an equally outstanding performance as a frantic news director willing to do anything for ratings in this picture. Dan Gilroy’s film is a must-see.

The White Tiger (2021)

The White Tiger stars Adarsh Gourav as lowly driver Balram, whose eyes are opened to the metaphorical “chicken coop” that puts the have-nots in their place while the wealthy prosper. The film is based on Aravind Adiga’s 2008 Booker-winning novel of the same name. In this film version, the novel’s profound societal criticism still rings true. This one certainly wins a spot among the finest Netflix films currently available.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)

Cast: Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, Jesse Plemons, Krysten Rittler, and  Jonathan Banks

El Camino might have easily disintegrated, but Aaron Paul’s powerful portrayal of a guy suffering from PTSD keeps the film together. He effortlessly fits back into Jesse’s shoes, making the time between the conclusion of the series and the publication of El Camino vanish. The film seems like a fitting conclusion for the character, thanks to Paul’s gravity. El Camino, then, bids a fond farewell to some of the most memorable characters ever to grace the screen of a television set. And Jesse gets the ending he so well deserves.

Enola Holmes (2020)

Introducing Sherlock and Mycroft’s younger sister, who is lovely, funny, and in a lot of trouble. Join the boisterous Enola Holmes in her quest to solve not one, but two mysteries as she travels around London. Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) is lovely as the titular heroine, and the fourth-wall-breaking film is the ideal light-hearted getaway for anybody trapped at home.
