India’s cleanest cities 2020 list: Madhya Pradesh’s Indore emerges as cleanest city; check top 10
Madhya Pradesh’s Indore did it again. Madhya Pradesh’s Indore emerges as the cleanest city. This is Indore’s fourth consecutive win, tops Swachh Survekshan 2020.
Indore has achieved the top position 4th time in the Sawchh Survekshan list of 2020. The Nation-wide ranking of the cleanest cities of India will be declared by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India on August 20 during the Swachh Mahostsav that will broadcast via a webinar. The programme will be conducted in the presence of the Prime Minister who will also address the nation along with the Union Minister for Urban Development and Housing.
“Heartiest congratulations! Indore is India’s cleanest city 4th year in a row. The city & its people have shown exemplary dedication towards cleanliness,” said Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri said in a tweet.
Apart from that Udaipur ranked first in Rajasthan in Swachh Survekshan 2020 and 54 at national level. Udaipur secured the first place in Rajasthan for cities less than 10 lakh population, whereas Jaipur stood first at Rajasthan level for cities with more than 10 lakh population. Udaipur took 54th place at the national level.

The 10 cities which emerged as the country’s best top 10 cities in the Swachh Survekshan survey undertaken this year are:

7. Ahmedabad (Gujarat)
