“The case of attacked and murdered of Suresh Raina’s kin arrested three members of criminals” – C.M Amarinder Singh.

Raina had pulled out of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) citing personal reasons. On Wednesday he thanked CM Amarinder Singh & Punjab Police after the arrests in the case related to his relatives, who were attacked. According to various media reports, the three accused were arrested based on a tip-off while 11 others are still absconding. 

Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta has said efforts are underway to nab them as well. Suresh Raina said although the loss faced by his family cannot be recovered but it will “surely” prevent further crimes from taking place. “This morning in Punjab, I met the investigating officers who reportedly have napped three criminals. I truly appreciate all their efforts. Our loss can’t be recovered but this will surely prevent further crimes to happen. Thank you @PunjabPoliceInd @capt_amarinder for all the help,” Raina tweeted.

The attack on Raina’s kin had taken place on the night of August 19 in Tharyal village under police station Shahpurkandi in Pathankot district.
