Shakuntala Devi AKA human-computer mathematical ability made her famous across the globe. Recently a movie on Shakuntala Devi got streamed on amazon prime which inspires you to embrace your imperfections and celebrate them. It also makes you realize that there’s a lot more to a woman than being just a mother. An old video of “Shakuntala Devi at her best” where she is solving complex math problems has gone viral. She is displaying her ability to solve the problems within seconds, without the use of any tools, often without the use of pen or paper as well.
The said video dates back to 1977, is from a Doordarshan episode, and shared on YouTube by the Prasar Bharti Archives.
The Shakuntala Devi holds a Guinness Book World Record (1982) for calculating the answer when multiplying two 13-digit numbers, randomly picked. She did it within 28 seconds.
