Karan Johar, Movie “Gunjan Saxena” Slammed By AIR FORCE
In an open letter, IAF said that Karan Johar had promised authenticity but the film portrays the IAF in a negative light.
Most of the biopics in Bollywood are misleading and untruthful, whether its Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju or Emraan Hashmi’s Azhar. Recently, Karan Johar, the movie “Gunjan Saxena” slammed by AIR FORCE. IAF is angry at Dharma Production Indian Air Force (IAF) has written to the censor board complaining against its “undue negative portrayal” in the movie “Gunjan Saxena.” Well, after the release of the first poster and trailer of the Gunjan Saxena, the Netflix movie is getting so much hate as nepotism debate rages on. And now the movie had to face another controversy. The Indian Air Force has complained that the recently released Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl portrays the branch in a negative way. Indian air force complains Netflix’s biopic unfairly portrays armed forces.
Major Gaurav Arya also took to Twitter to highlight the same “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl on @netflix has some extremely negative portrayal of @IAF_MCC. It is also filled with lies. Women officers are treated with the utmost respect in IAF. Please don’t malign the Armed Forces just because you want to sell your film.”
