IAF asks for some scenes from Anil Kapoor’s AK vs AK to be withdrawn: Anil Kapoor apologized on Twitter
IAF wants Netflix to cut scenes from Anil Kapoor’s #AKVsAK for wrong uniform, inappropriate words.
A few days ago, Twitter witnessed an ugly fight between Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap. They started with trolling each other’s performances and then launching attacks at their credibility in Bollywood. Both left no stone unturned in insulting each other. However, all of it was scripted. Yes, you read that right. It’s a mere promotional stunt for their upcoming film, AK Vs AK on Netflix.
‘AK vs AK,’ revolves around the story of a movie star and a film director who get into a public spat, following which the director retaliates by kidnapping the actor’s daughter and films the search for her in real-time. The Netflix India Original film will be released on the platform on December 24.
Yesterday in a tweet, the Indian Air Force said that some scenes in the movie show Anil Kapoor in an incorrectly donned uniform and using inappropriate language.
The IAF stated that the Air Force uniform being worn by Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor in the movie has been “inaccurately donned”.
The Indian Air Force on Wednesday asked the makers of the Anil Kapoor-starrer AK vs AK to withdraw some scenes where the actor is seen using foul language while dressed in the force’s uniform. The IAF said that such a depiction did not “conform to the behavioral norms of those in the Armed Forces of India.” AK vs AK is set to release on Netflix on December 24.
Later Actor Anil Kapoor and Netflix apologized on Twitter
“It has come to my attention that the trailer of my new film “AK vs AK” has offended some people. As I am wearing the Indian Air Force Uniform while using unparliamentarily language, I would like to sincerely offer my humble apologies for unintentionally hurting sentiments,” he said in a video message.
